Italy Day 9 | Truffle Extravaganza

Did someone say truffles? Um, yeah they did! I spent the day tasting 10 different truffle dishes, including Bruschetta with White Truffle, Buffalo Ricotta with Champignons and Truffle Cream, Spaghetti with Spicy Truffle Sauce, and Home Made Cavatelli with Seafood and Shaved Truffles.

Did someone say truffles? Um, yeah they did!

How about 10 different dishes all featuring locally foraged truffles? Oh hell yes!!

Please try not to hate me….

~Bruschetta with White Truffle Oil
~Fried Polenta with Sausage and Porcini and Truffle Cream
~Buffalo Ricotta with Champignons and Truffle Cream
~Pizza with Pancetta and Truffle Cream Sauce (I topped it off with some picante truffle spread just to make it even more ridiculous!)

Entrees:
~Spaghetti with Spicy Truffle Sauce
~Home Made Cavatelli with Seafood and Shaved Truffles
~Meat Ravioli with White Truffle Purée
~Braised Beef with Truffled Potato Purée and Minced Black Truffles

Oh, and then after all that, they bring out scrambled eggs with shaved truffles on top. I just happened to mention on the car ride over, how much I would love to have that for breakfast.

Did I mention how much I love being in Italy?

Ciao for now!
