Sherwood farm in Easton is one of the oldest continually operated family farms in the United States and has been harvesting for almost 300 years! Cindy Palmer, who lives right up the street from the farm, has established a personal relationship with Tommy Sherwood who provides us with fresh eggs and produce.
“There’s nothing like arriving at the farm in the morning and seeing and smelling what has been freshly picked just hours before” says Cindy. Palmer’s is the only retailer that Sherwood Farm sells to, and “we are proud of it!” proclaims Cindy.
The season begins with kale, red and green leaf lettuce, then herbs, beans, eggplant, peppers and tomatoes. Who needs the farmers market once a week when you can get it fresh daily at Palmer’s! That’s just one of the reasons why we love being an independent, family-owned and operated supermarket!
